Virtual Issue on Dutch Cities

This set of thirteen articles explores some of the ways in which Dutch cities are distinctive, especially in terms of the design, struggles over, and effects of urban policy. The collection is intended to enable scholars who are not specialists on the Netherlands to use Dutch cases to contribute to theorizing the interconnections between state, public policy and public participation.

Membership of IJURR’s Editorial Board is limited to a term of eight years, so every year we say thank you to valued colleagues who are stepping down. At the end of 2009 we said thank you to Marcus Melo and Harvey Molotch, and at the end of 2010 we thanked Min Zhou and AbdouMaliq Simone. At the end of 2011 Roger Keil and Jeremy Seekings will be leaving the Board. In 2011 we welcome five new members of the Editorial Board: Elijah Anderson, Mike Raco, Raquel Rolnik, Ananya Roy and Fulong Wu.
